Suprsingly most of our pilots were in good sprits, asking how they can prepare and or help the corporation in anyway for this upcomming war! We quickly fitted up our ships, parked our mining ships and equiped moar gunz! Also some of us did a bit of research... Thank god this book had popup pictures!Morning of first day
I log into our TS server extremely early saturday morning (after being up all night drinking) and start to hear reports of an engagment with our wartarget. Very early our WT strikes at our corporation killing a number of frigates including a stealth bomber.
Furious that our WT had logged off preventing any counter attacks, we waited until we could get ourselves another opportunity to strike back and sure enough our war target logs in!
First she undocks in her hawk and quickly engages a number of our newer pilots and my Merlin. Her hawk was suprisingly well tanked for a frigate and nearly killed my Merlin but to my suprise I was able to get out in structure, although this wont be the last time I leave the battlefield in structure! Upon docking and getting out my Bruitx, she immediately docked and brought out her Drake. Instantly, I call her primary and open up my guns on my Brutix (and Vicky's mighty missiles) Soon realizing that it may come down to a draw between her Drake and my Brutix. As we contunue to exchange blows and Victor slowly bleeds into structure our hero stealth bomber pilot (Zhadu) arrives on grid and provides the much needed DPS to take down our war targets ship. While I barely make it out of that fight with 50% structure!
Now as we look at the new War stats, our war target killed 6 frigates that morning with a total loss of isk at 70 ish million isks. With this one Drake kill we had evened out the score!
Once back in station she quickly boarded another ship and undocked a Raven! Eeek... With Victor barely surviving the last fight I was very hesitate to test his Brutix tank against a Raven!
So we decided to keep her engaged enough until more pilots logged in. And about 20 minutes later we had enough and I quickly undock Vicky in her Drake since her ship can take much more of a punishment! We engage and I quickly tackle her Raven with Victor and start unleashing our DPS into her ship, after a few moments we were left with a wreck and her pod, which she quickly warped away! Luck for her because Victor likes his pods :)
At this point the war report was showing a huge difference in losses in our favor. We had destroyed only two of her ships and already we hit 250 million isk lost for our war target! Our wartarget annouches in local chat "Yep, certainly did bite off more than i can chew lol" ... Indeed you did!
Think she might do the smart thing and leave system she comes back out in her hawk only to fly straight out of the station and allows my Bruitx to get tackle, within seconds she was again in a pod! But this time it didnt make it out!
I told you Victor likes pods... I have said it before and Ill say it again "OUCH"!
Shortly after these kills she sent me a message stating we got lucky because she had DC'd!
In my opinion our luck began the moment she wardec us!
The number speak for themselves, and for anyone thinking of wardecing us! You may get some of us, but together we will stand strong, smash in your face and send you back to where you came from, and all this even before we had lunch!
